Between Us is a private app for two. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple: your relationship is between you and your partner. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Data We Collect

Account: your name and email from Google, Apple, or email sign-in.
Your content: love notes, photos, doodles, drawings, check-in answers, moods, and important dates you add.
Partner link: the connection between you and your one paired partner.
Usage & diagnostics: basic in-app activity and crash reports to keep the app working and improve it.

Subscriptions & Payments

Between Us Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your card details. We only receive your subscription status so we can unlock premium features.

How We Use Your Data

To run the app and sync your content between you and your partner.
To send notifications you turn on (love notes, check-in and streak reminders, important dates).
To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
To fix bugs, improve features, and keep the app secure.

Data Sharing

Your personal content stays private and is only shared with your paired partner — that's the whole point of the app. We never sell your data and we don't use it for advertising. We use trusted providers to run Between Us (Supabase for our backend, Apple/Google for sign-in, push, and payments, and RevenueCat, PostHog, and Sentry for subscriptions, analytics, and crash reports). We may disclose data if required by law.

Data Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest and strict access controls, so only you and your partner can see your couple's content. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

Children's Privacy

Between Us is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the app. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Delete everything anytime in the app: Profile → Delete Account.
Access, correct, or export your data by emailing us.
Manage notifications and permissions in your device settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like GDPR or CCPA. Just reach out.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and let you know in the app for important changes.
